Mike Drummond is editor-in-chief of Inventors Digest and oversees all editorial as well as financial and marketing aspects of the nation’s longest-running publication in the invention industry.

Mike serves on various company, academic boards and association boards, such as American Innovators for Patent Reform (AIPR). As a seasoned editor and journalist, he has covered major natural disasters and national economic issues, and he served two reporting tours in Iraq, including bureau chief in Baghdad for the McClatchy Newspapers.

His writings have appeared in Wired, Salon.com, Fortune, CNET, Business 2.0, Forrester Research Magazine, the Harvard Business Review and many others, and have been carried by the Associated Press and Knight Ridder/McClatchy newswires. He's a 2008 Pulitzer Prize finalist and winner of numerous investigative, feature and business-writing awards. He's also the author of “Renegades of the Empire” (Random House/Crown Publishers, 2000), an inside story of Microsoft's computer-game and Internet ambitions.
